Moses Pelham invites 500 needy people to a meal at the Römer in Frankfurt

Around 500 homeless and needy people were treated to a meal in the Ratskeller restaurant of Frankfurt's Römer on Tuesday (September 15). The Bernd Reisig Foundation and Frankfurt musician and producer Moses Pelham hosted the vegan meal for the sixth time.

More than 50 volunteers supported the event. The food was provided by Frankfurt restaurateur Nir Rosenfeld.

The menu included items such as laffa bread, hummus, tahini, Israeli salad, portobello mushrooms, and vegan sausages. Apple pie was served for dessert.

Moses Pelham helps with campaign for the needy

According to the statement, Pelham said: "Of course, it's about providing people with a good meal. But the encounter is at least as important."

The event has been running since 2021. In addition, the Bernd Reisig Foundation has been organizing a goose dinner for homeless people every Christmas season for many years. According to the foundation, rising food prices are now making it more difficult to finance such initiatives. It is therefore increasingly dependent on donations.

The meal was also supported by several Frankfurt companies. According to the organizers, the Frankfurt transport authority (VGF) provided guests with free travel to and from the event by bus and train.
