Better than oatmeal for breakfast. I make this filling puree in 15 minutes, and my intestines work like clockwork

Many people make classic oatmeal for breakfast.

Ingredients · Servings 2
  • 200 g suszonych śliwek
  • 200 ml kefiru lub jogurtu naturalnego
  • 100 ml ciepłej wody
  • ½ łyżeczki cynamonu
  • 10 g orzechów włoskich
  • 5 g płatków migdałów
Method · 15 min
  1. Suszone śliwki włóż do miski i zalej 100 ml ciepłej wody. Odstaw na około 10 minut, żeby zmiękły. Śliwki razem z wodą przełóż do blendera.
  2. Dodaj kefir lub jogurt oraz ½ łyżeczki cynamonu.
  3. Zblenduj wszystko na gładki, kremowy mus. Jeśli będzie zbyt gęsty, dodaj odrobinę wody.
  4. Przełóż mus do miseczki. Na wierzchu posyp posiekanymi orzechami włoskimi i płatkami migdałów.

Many people make classic oatmeal for breakfast. It's no wonder, as it's tasty, filling, and quick. Perfect for mornings when you're short on time. Plus, it's really healthy and can be served with a variety of toppings. I enjoy it too, but sometimes I opt for something different.

I make it for breakfast instead of oatmeal

Instead of oatmeal, I prepare a delicious mousse. Its deliciousness isn't its only advantage. It contains prunes, a source of fiber, which supports healthy intestinal function. These fruits also provide natural sugars, making the mousse a good source of energy to start the day. The added kefir contains live bacteria cultures that positively impact the gut microbiome. Walnuts and almond flakes complement the meal with healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals. Cinnamon adds a pleasant aroma and a naturally sweet character. This mousse is best prepared without added sugar, as prunes are sweet on their own. For an even more filling breakfast, serve this mousse with oatmeal.

If you use kefir, the mousse will be lighter and slightly tart. With plain yogurt, it will be thicker and creamier.

Recipe: Plum mousse

This is a delicious breakfast option that the gut loves.

Properties of plums

Prunes, both fresh and dried, are a valuable addition to your daily diet. In addition to fiber, they contain potassium, which supports the proper functioning of muscles and the nervous system. They are also an excellent source of antioxidant compounds and have a low glycemic index.

Even though plums are sweet and are fruits, they can easily be included in the diet of people with insulin resistance or type 2 diabetes, said clinical dietitian Justyna Marszałkowska-Jakubik in the published recording.

However, remember that dried plums are quite high in calories, so don't eat too many. Now that they're in season, it's also worth reaching for fresh plums. You can use them to prepare this mousse, too.
