Boscoreale: the 26th edition of the Vesuvian Wine, Flavors, and Knowledge Festival arrives
Before the main days of Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October, a preview in stages will liven up various locations in the city.
The dates for the 26th edition of the "Festival of Vesuvian Wine, Flavors and Knowledge" have been announced, scheduled for Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th, 2026, in the historic center of Boscoreale.
This year's festival is changing its format: no longer just a weekend event in the historic center, but a journey that will begin in the days leading up to the event and visit various locations in the Vesuvian town, also strengthening partnerships established in previous years.
Among these is the Boscoreale Half Marathon, now in its seventh year, which will run through the city streets on Sunday, October 11th. This year, too, there will be a special awards ceremony presented by the Il Nuovo Vesuvio Cultural Association, which for over fifteen years has organized the festival dedicated to the nectar so dear to Bacchus and which has been produced in the Boscoreale area for over 2,000 years.
The evening dedicated to local dance schools will also be back, performing in Piazza Pace on the evening of Friday, October 16th.
A widespread celebration, therefore, but with very specific characteristics that have won the favor of an ever-growing audience over the years. On the weekend of October 17th and 18th, the historic center will be freed from daily traffic and transformed into the heart of a food and wine and sensory journey that will once again enliven the streets and squares, featuring traditional Vesuvian dishes and excellent Vesuvius wines, masterclasses, cooking demonstrations, art exhibitions, guided tours, local crafts, and ancient games.
The Saturday and Sunday program will also feature tammorra, thanks to a partnership with one of the most representative groups in Campania's folk tradition. This event strengthens the Festival's connection to local culture and traditions, through the music and sounds of our land.
The event, organized as always by the "Il Nuovo Vesuvio" Cultural Association, chaired by Angelo Cesarano, has proven to be an unmissable event, having grown over the years to become a benchmark for promoting the area and its excellence.
The complete program will be announced in the next few days.
