Recipe: Sweet gnocchi with grapes and breadcrumb butter
In many families, sweet dishes used to be a regular main course: semolina pudding, apple pancakes, and the like. That was never really my thing, though. For me, these classics are more of a great alternative to cake. They're usually quicker to make, easier to portion, and sometimes even evoke a little holiday feeling.
Recipe: Sweet gnocchi with grapes and breadcrumb butter.
- The ingredients in this recipe are enough for 4 servings.
Ingredients list:
- 500g of green and red seedless grapes
- 50 g sugar
- 100 ml grape juice
- 600g potato gnocchi (from the refrigerated section)
- 50 g Butter
- 40 g breadcrumbs
- 3 tablespoons of icing sugar
Wash 1. Wash the grapes, drain them, and remove them from the stems. Caramelize the sugar in a pan until golden brown. Carefully add the grapes and toss them in the caramel. Pour in the grape juice and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool slightly.
Cook 2 gnocchi according to package directions in plenty of water. Melt butter in a separate pan. Add breadcrumbs and toast until golden brown. Drain the gnocchi, add them to the breadcrumb butter, and toss to coat. Dust with powdered sugar. Serve with grapes. Vanilla sauce goes well with this dish.
