New Zagreb bakery dedicated to cinnamon rolls opens to long queues
A new artisan bakery dedicated to cinnamon rolls has opened in central Zagreb, attracting a long queue of customers on its first day.
Rollin’ Artisan Bakery has opened at Vlaška 103, introducing a menu built around freshly made cinnamon rolls with a range of flavours and toppings.
The new Zagreb concept is the work of pastry chef Petra Hadaš, who is already known to Croatia’s food and pastry scene through her work with Mon Chéri cakes, workshops and previous Rollin’ pop-up events.
Hadaš trained at École Ducasse, the prestigious culinary and pastry school in Paris, and has brought together those experiences in the new permanent Rollin’ space.
The idea for Rollin’ was first developed through pop-up events before moving into a permanent location. The concept is designed to regularly change its offering, with seasonal flavours and limited-edition cinnamon rolls planned alongside new workshops and collaborations.
The menu goes beyond the classic cinnamon roll.
The current selection includes The Original, made with cinnamon filling and cream cheese frosting, alongside flavours such as Biscoff Crush, Oreo, Pecan & Bacon and Raspberry Cheesecake.
A limited-edition Banana Puding roll is also available, combining cinnamon and banana with vanilla pudding cream and a crumble topping. Prices currently range from €5 to €6.50.
Rollin’ is also more than a pastry stop. The bakery serves coffee, matcha and kombucha, while its merchandise includes a cinnamon-scented candle, handmade ceramic cup and canvas tote bag.
The bakery’s opening has generated strong initial interest, with customers forming a queue outside the new Vlaška Street location on its first day.
The bakery is currently open from 10am on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until the products are sold out.
The concept is expected to continue evolving, with changing flavours, limited-edition releases, workshops and collaborations forming part of Rollin’s plans.
For Zagreb’s growing speciality food and café scene, the new bakery adds a dedicated destination for one of the world’s best-known sweet pastries, while giving the traditional cinnamon roll a distinctly modern and locally developed format.
