In fact, for a few years now, I've decided to focus on a healthier diet, trying to introduce sweets into my daily routine that allow me to have breakfast freely, without worrying about calorie intake.
These brioches are a practical example of what we're talking about. They're easy to make and don't rely on two key ingredients, sugar and flour. They're an alternative recipe, excellent for dieters and, above all, for maintaining your habit of having a sweet breakfast.
Sugar- and flour-free brioche: the recipe
Yes, if you're on a weight-loss diet but still want a worry-free breakfast treat, these brioches are perfect for you. They're made with just a few ingredients and are ready to serve in no time. Here's what you'll need:
- 60 g of almond flour,
- 60 ml of milk,
- 40 ml of seed oil,
- 2 eggs,
- 1 ripe banana,
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract,
- Half a teaspoon of baking powder.
Let's make brioche without sugar and flour together
Let's start by taking a large bowl and placing the ripe banana in it. Mash it with a fork until it becomes a puree. This step is very important, because the banana will be the ingredient that will give our brioche its sweetness, replacing sugar.
Next, add the two eggs to the bowl and mix until the mixture becomes creamy. Then add the seed oil and plant-based milk, continuing to mix everything well. Finally, add the almond flour, sifted to avoid lumps, and finish with the baking powder.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Transfer the batter to a muffin pan, using parchment paper liners for portions. Bake for about 20 minutes, until golden brown. Use a toothpick to check that the inside is cooked through.
Once ready, let them cool slightly. Our dessert is ready to be served for breakfast!
