Butternut squash “pizza”: the best recipe

- 4 slices of butternut squash
- 2 tomatoes (canned out of season)
- 2 tablespoons of grated Gruyère cheese
- 1 clove of garlic
- 4 thin slices of Parma ham
- chopped basil
Method · 1 h
- Preheat the oven to 160°C (thermostat 5-6).
- Peel and cut the squash into slices about 1.5 cm thick.
- Brush with olive oil, season with salt and pepper on both sides. Place on a baking dish and bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cut the tomatoes into small cubes and add the chopped garlic, salt and pepper.
- When the squash slices are tender, remove them from the oven and cover them with the tomatoes and a little Gruyère cheese. Return to the oven for about 5 to 10 minutes.
- Finally, arrange the slices on the plates, cover with Parma ham cut into small pieces and chopped basil, serve with a salad.
