Sir Orrick’s Irish Whiskey Makes India Debut With Mehra Wines

Sir Orrick’s Irish Whiskey, a triple-distilled Irish whiskey, has entered the Indian market through Mehra Wines Pvt. Ltd. (MWPL). Crafted in Ireland, the whiskey is matured in selected barrels and finished in bourbon and sherry casks.

The brand’s positioning centres on its “Knight of the Barrels” identity and the philosophy, “Quality is an oath, not a claim,” with the product focused on traditional Irish whiskey-making and barrel maturation.

Sir Orrick’s is triple distilled in Ireland and uses bourbon and sherry casks as part of its maturation and finishing process. Its flavour profile includes vanilla cream, honey, pear, green apple and lemon zest, while the palate features vanilla, toffee, apple, pear and malt biscuit, followed by oak spice and a smooth finish with sweet grain, dry oak and pepper notes.

The whiskey is positioned for consumption neat, over ice or in cocktails. Its packaging follows the brand’s “Knight of the Barrels” identity with a contemporary premium design.

To mark its India launch, Sir Orrick’s hosted The Knight’s Club at Arts Room, Eldeco Centre, Delhi. The event featured whiskey-led experiences, the Clover Key and a bottle unveiling. Cyrus Broacha took on the role of Sir Orrick, the Knight of the Barrels, for the India launch.

MWPL, led by brothers Tushar Mehra and Pranav Mehra, imports and develops premium spirits and beverages across categories including whisky, tequila, vodka, gin and rum. The addition of Sir Orrick’s expands its portfolio into the Irish whiskey segment.

Sir Orrick’s is currently available in Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh. In Delhi, the MRP is INR 2,500, while pricing in Haryana is INR 1,800–2,000. The MRP in Chandigarh is INR 2,000 and in Himachal Pradesh it is INR 2,050.

The brand is also set to expand into Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, Jammu & Kashmir and Rajasthan, taking its distribution into additional Indian markets.
