Sage (from the Latin word for "healing") has been known for its many beneficial properties since antiquity. The Greeks preserved it candied in vinegar. It also possesses purifying qualities and is used in many smudging rituals. If you wish to cleanse your home of impurities and other negative energies, we invite you to burn a few sage leaves as you walk from room to room. In the kitchen, sage has a slightly bitter, camphoraceous taste that pairs perfectly with potatoes and other starchy foods.
