Carrot scarves
Fill these tender carrot rolls with jam or marmalade and bake until golden brown. The grated carrots keep the dough soft and tender. These simple homemade cookies are perfect with coffee, tea, or on a holiday table.

- 250 g plain flour
- 150 g butter
- 200 g mrkve
- 1/2 baking powder
- jam (or marmalade, as desired)
- Further:
- plain flour for dusting
- powdered sugar for sprinkling
Method · 1 h
- Peel, wash and finely grate the carrots. Then squeeze them lightly.
- Sift the plain flour into a bowl, add the butter cut into small pieces, grated carrots and baking powder.
- We knead all the ingredients into a smooth dough by hand.
- Lightly dust the work surface with flour and roll out the dough to a thickness of about 3 mm.
- Using a knife, cut the dough into squares approximately 5 × 5 cm in size.
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C in advance. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
- Place a spoonful of jam or marmalade in the middle of each square. Bring the corners of the dough together to form a scarf.
- Place the prepared wraps on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the finished scarves cool. Then you can lightly sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
