Alex Drummond Just Shared the Sweetest New Photos of Baby Charlie at Home

After what felt like months and months of waiting for baby boy —and, of course, actually being pregnant for all those months if you're Alex Drummond—Charlie arrived on September 15. Ree was there in Dallas for the big day, and soon after, Sofia got to meet her baby brother at the hospital. She was thrilled to see Alex again... and considerably less impressed by the tiny person in the bassinet. .

Alex, Mauricio, Sofia, and Charlie are now settling in at home, and Alex has been sharing little glimpses of their first few days as a family of four.

There have been sleepy newborn stretches, visits from Charlie's Tía and Tío, and plenty of debate over who he looks like. Alex called him a “Mini Mauricio” in one photo, then claimed one feature for herself in another: “He is Mauricio but I get credit for this butt chin.”

The sweetest update might be one Alex had been picturing for months. Snuggled on the couch with Charlie asleep on her chest—and wearing the cutest football pajamas, naturally—she finally got her wish. “My entire pregnancy I dreamed about snuggling up with a newborn watching college gameday,” she wrote. “And that’s exactly what we did this morning.” (Not pictured: Sofia in her matching pink pajamas. )

Then, there’s the less sleepy side of newborn life. One night, Alex celebrated getting “1 solid-ish stretch” with Charlie in the bassinet before trying for another and discovering he was very much done with that plan. By 2:48 a.m., she was back to holding him and joking that she was so sleep-deprived she’d started questioning whether humans actually need sleep to survive. (Every mom has been there!)

Meanwhile, Sofia has discovered an entirely new category of entertainment: Charlie’s baby gear. Alex shared a video of her happily playing with one of the gadgets and announced that Sofia had “unlocked a new lineup of toys.”

So yes, the Scott house is a little more tired and a whole lot busier these days. But Charlie is finally home, the snuggles have begun, and we have a feeling there are many more Sofia-and-Charlie updates coming!
