Alex Drummond and Mauricio Scott Just Welcomed Their Baby Boy!
What a happy 24 hours it's been! I drove down to Dallas Monday night to stay with Sofia so that Alex and Mauricio could check into the hospital Tuesday morning. By Tuesday evening...their family of three was updated to a family of four!
Meet Charles...otherwise known as Charlie Scott! This was about 30 to 45 minutes after he was born.
Ladd had driven down after he finished some ranch work, and he was excited to get to see his first grandson...and the fact that the baby is named after his dad made it that much more special. Here, he's saying, "He looks a little cranky!"
Ladd has a little soft spot in his heart for Alex.
I said this when Sofia was born, but it just doesn't seem possible that our first baby is having babies of her own. Especially considering the fact that we are only 34 years old. I demand a recount!
As for Mauricio...let's just say he's ready! And just like that, he is no longer outnumbered in his house. Ha!
I'm so proud of Alex and Mauricio. They work together so beautifully when it comes to important life moments. They're a self-contained unit, and it's really fun to see.
I have many many more photos to share! Paige and I took Sofia to meet her baby brother late this afternoon, and it was both precious and chaotic. And of course, I have many more gorgeous pics of little Charlie. But here's one to tide you over.
