Tomato soup with minced meat and chickpeas
Thick, warming, and incredibly aromatic soup!
Ingredients
- 500 g minced meat
- 200 g bacon
- 400 g chopped tomatoes
- 200 g chickpeas
- 150 g onion
- 500 g potatoes
- 1 tbsp sweet ground paprika
- herbs to taste
- salt
- pepper
Method
- Chop the bacon.
- Finely chop the onion.
- Peel the potatoes and cut them.
- Finely chop the greens.
- Place bacon in a saucepan (do not add oil).
- Fry.
- Add onion. Stir.
- Add paprika.
- Stir. Fry.
- Add minced meat. Fry.
- Add tomatoes.
- Mix.
- Pour in water. Bring to a boil.
- Add potatoes. Cook for 10 minutes.
- Add chickpeas.
- Add salt and pepper. Cook until the potatoes are done.
- Add herbs. Stir. Remove from heat.
I used homemade minced meat (beef + pork), but you can use any, to taste.
I used canned chickpeas, which significantly reduced the cooking time. If you're using dried chickpeas, soak them and cook them according to package directions.
The quantity of ingredients is given for a four-liter saucepan.
- 200 g bacon (I used dry-cured)
- 200 g chickpeas (cooked)
