Chinese-Style Pork Ribs

Chinese-style pork neck is a dish worthy of a holiday table or a long-awaited family Sunday dinner. Why "Chinese-style"? Because we use a classic set of spices: star anise, cloves, cayenne pepper, ginger, and garlic.

Ingredients · Servings 4
  • Green onions
  • Cognac
  • Granulated sugar
  • Chicken broth
  • Soy sauce
  • Salt
  • Yellow sweet pepper
  • Garlic
  • Pork ribs
  • Potato starch
  • Refined vegetable oil
Method · 1 h 30 min
  1. Wash the ribs, dry them and cut them into 1 piece.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, cognac, cornstarch, salt, and pepper to taste. Place the ribs in the marinade and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  3. Peel and mince the garlic. Cut the green onions into rings and fry in heated oil with the garlic for 2 minutes. Add the ribs and cook for 15 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the hot broth and sugar, bring to a boil, and simmer uncovered until all the liquid has evaporated, about 20 minutes. Cut the pepper into diamonds, add it to the ribs, and cook everything together for 3 minutes.

Since God created woman from Adam's rib, and not from his leg or arm, this means that this part of the first human on Earth was either the most unnecessary or the best. Pork, lamb, or beef ribs also fit this definition quite well.

An elegant rack of lamb, any entrecote and spare ribs, osso buco, and even a true roast beef—all of this meat is on the bone. This means that the meat cut is both sold and prepared on...

Oven-baked mustard ribs will drive anyone crazy, even the most well-fed! If the mere mention of them makes your mouth water, then this recipe is definitely for you. Choose meaty pieces for baking – they'll turn out juicy and tender. To make things easier, you can ask the vendor to cut the ribs into pieces for you right away. The key to a successful dish is the right marinade. This time, we'll be cooking pork in a mixture of mustard, olive oil, and honey. The mustard and honey create a harmonious combination that gives the sizzling ribs a particularly tender texture and a piquant sweet-and-spicy flavor. You probably won't need any sauce, but fresh vegetables and herbs are the perfect complement to the meat.
