Pan Seared Grouper with Roasted Green Beans
Savor the delicious combination of flavors in this Pan Seared Grouper with Roasted Green Beans recipe, a simple yet elegant dish that’s perfect for any occasion. The grouper, pan-seared to golden perfection, offers a delicate, flaky texture that pairs beautifully with the savory, slightly charred green beans.
- 12 ounce grouper filet
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- salt and pepper (to taste)
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 medium lemon (cut in wedges to serve)
- 8 ounce green beans (washed and trimmed)
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- salt and pepper
- 4 tablespoon parmesan cheese (shredded)
- Gather and prep all of your ingredients. Pre-heat oven to 400F.
- In a bowl or ziploc bag, combine the green beans, oil, garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix together (or shake the bag) well, until green beans are evenly coated.
- Lay green beans on a baking sheet or inside of a casserole dish. Roast for 10 minutes or until starting to wrinkle.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the parmesan cheese over the top of the green beans, then roast for an additional 10 minutes.
- Once the green beans go back in, season the grouper with garlic powder, paprika, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Place a pan over medium heat and add olive oil. Once hot, sear the fish on both sides until cooked through, about 2-4 minutes per side depending on thickness.
- Remove green beans from the oven and gently toss.
- Serve the fish and green beans with a slice of lemon. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Enjoy!
This meal is not only quick and easy but also packed with healthy ingredients. Grouper is an excellent source of lean protein, rich in essential vitamins and minerals, while green beans provide fiber and antioxidants. The pan-searing technique used for the fish locks in flavor, while the green beans, seasoned simply with olive oil, garlic, and a sprinkle of salt, are roasted to perfection in the oven. If you don’t have access to grouper, any white fish will work just fine, too!
