Ingredients
- 1.5 kg (3 1/3 lb) of pizza dough
For the bruschetta:
- 80 ml (1/3 cup) chopped fresh basil
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) chopped garlic
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) of red wine vinegar
- 4 Italian tomatoes, seeded and diced
- 1/4 of a small red onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the scented oil:
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) of olive oil
- 45 ml (3 tbsp) grated Parmesan cheese
- 7.5 ml (1/2 tbsp) dried thyme
- 7.5 ml (1/2 tbsp) dried oregano
- 5 ml (1 tsp) dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the balsamic sauce:
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) of olive oil
- 45 ml (3 tbsp) of balsamic vinegar
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) of maple syrup
- 1 chopped green onion
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
- In a bowl, mix the bruschetta ingredients. Set aside.
- In a second bowl, mix the ingredients for the scented oil. Set aside.
- Divide the pizza dough into 27 equal parts, then form a ball with each part. In the center of each ball, form a cavity.
- On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, arrange 15 balls in a ring shape. Place the remaining twelve balls inside the ring, slightly overlapping it.
- Brush the balls with the flavored oil. Fill the cavities with bruschetta.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- In a third bowl, mix the ingredients for the balsamic sauce. Serve with the crown.
