Witch finger cookies for Halloween: the easy recipe
For Halloween, bake delicious witch finger cookies with this easy recipe. Decorated with almonds for fingernails and jam to mimic blood, these cookies are as simple to make as they are fun to serve. A unique idea for Halloween snacks or a buffet.
Ingredients · Servings 6 people
- 1 egg unit
- 130g icing sugar
- 350 g flour
- 1/2 packet of baking powder
- 1 tsp liquid almond extract
- 1 tsp liquid vanilla extract
- 130g soft butter
- a few blanched almonds
- strawberry or raspberry jam
Method · 10 min
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Mix the softened butter with the icing sugar, egg, and vanilla and almond extracts. Add the flour and baking powder, then mix by hand until you obtain a smooth dough.
- Shape small portions of dough into finger shapes and arrange them on a baking sheet.
- Place a blanched almond at the tip of each finger to form the nail. Then draw the phalanges with the tip of a knife.
- Bake the witch fingers at 180°C for 20 to 25 minutes, until lightly golden.
- Let the biscuits cool, then dip their ends in strawberry or raspberry jam to create a fake blood effect.
