Cherry-flavored Damascus Baba
20 gr. fresh yeast
2.5 cups of flour. Ingredients for the syrup.
- ½ cup powdered sugar
Materials for Decoration
Whipped cream
Cherry kernels
Grease your small cake tins with butter. In a mixing bowl, combine the fresh yeast, granulated sugar, and cherry juice, and whisk together with a wire whisk.
In a large mixing bowl, add the eggs and whisk. Gradually add the melted butter, continuing to whisk. Add the yeast mixture and continue whisking. Then add the flour and continue whisking.
You will obtain a slightly elastic consistency. Divide the prepared dough into your molds, not overfilling them. NOTE: Each mold will contain approximately 2-2.5 tablespoons of dough. Cover with plastic wrap and let stand for 40-45 minutes.
Bake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees Celsius for 25-30 minutes. Let the pastries cool and harden after removing them from the oven.
For the syrup: Add granulated sugar and cherry juice to a saucepan and stir. Once the syrup boils, remove from heat.
To assemble: Place the hardened desserts into the syrup and let them soak up the syrup thoroughly. Then, transfer the prepared desserts to a serving plate. Garnish with whipped cream and cherries and serve.
