Baked Camembert recipe
Looking for an easy yet impressive snack? Then baked camembert is exactly what you need. In just fifteen minutes, a plain camembert transforms into a delicious, creamy cheese that everyone will immediately want to dip pieces of bread or other treats into.
- 1 camembert
- 1 sprig of thyme
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1-2 tsp honey
- Serve with bread
- After unpacking, place the camembert back in the box with a sheet of baking paper underneath, or place the camembert in an oven dish.
- With a sharp knife, make notches in the top to create a diamond pattern.
- Strip the leaves from the sprig of thyme and slice the garlic clove thinly. Insert these into several incisions you have made in the camembert. Drizzle some honey over it.
- Bake the camembert for 15 minutes at 200 ℃ (top and bottom heat).
- Serve straight from the oven with bread and any other dippers, now that the cheese is nicely melted.
Ideal for a casual get-together, a birthday, or as a festive snack during the holidays.
Baked Camembert with honey
Baked Camembert is a whole Camembert that is heated until the inside is deliciously soft and creamy. By scoring the cheese beforehand and filling it with, for example, garlic, thyme, and honey, it develops even more flavor during baking.
The result is a warm appetizer that you place in the middle of the table so everyone can enjoy it together. With a piece of baguette or a crispy cracker on the side, it feels almost like a mini cheese fondue, but easier.
