One of Cork’s cult favourite bakeries is celebrating a birthday this weekend
One of Cork’s best-loved independent bakeries is celebrating a major milestone.
Wildflour in Innishannon, which has become something of a cult favourite among Cork’s pastry-loving population, is marking its fifth birthday on Sunday, September 6th, with a day of music, food and birthday celebrations.
Wildflour has teamed up with some equally beloved local names for the celebration, including Blacks Brewing, while Swing You Sinners will provide the live soundtrack.
So, essentially, it’s shaping up to be a very Cork birthday party.
Five years on from opening, Wildflour has built up a seriously loyal following thanks to its breads, pastries and general ability to make people willingly queue before they’ve had their morning coffee.
With a second shop now thriving in Bantry, the original bakery will celebrate its birthday on Sunday with food, music and what we’re assuming will be an entirely reasonable amount of carbs.
We’d say that’s worth raising a pastry to.
