
Watermelon Juice Recipe (Jugo de Sandía)
Jugo de Sandía also known as Jugo de Patilla in Colombia is a refreshing homemade watermelon juice.
- 5 cups watermelon (peeled and cut into chunks)
- 1 cup crushed ice
- ¼ cup ice water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!

A good watermelon should feel heavy for its size. Should be firm and not have any soft spots.

How to Cut a Watermelon
Place the watermelon on a cutting board and using a sharp knife cut about 1 inch off the top and 1 inch off the bottom. Place the watermelon onto one flat side and cut off the watermelon rind, moving the knife around the edge of the watermelon, be sure to cut any remaining white parts off.
