Homemade Baileys

Homemade Baileys will delight you with its smooth, creamy consistency and strong rum flavor. Boil the custard, let the almond pudding cool, and then whisk everything into a smooth liqueur that tastes best when well chilled.

Ingredients · Servings 1 dose
  • 794 g Salko sweetened condensed milk (2 cans)
  • 500 ml rum
  • 1 almond pudding powder
  • 500 ml milk
Method · 1 h 20 min
  1. The day before, place the sealed Salka cans in a pot and cover with water so that they remain submerged the entire time. Bring to a gentle boil and cook for 1 hour. Add hot water as needed during cooking to keep the cans submerged. Then remove and let cool completely.
  2. Cook unsweetened pudding from milk and almond pudding powder according to the instructions on the package. Let it cool completely, stirring occasionally to prevent a skin from forming on the surface.
  3. Remove the cooled Salko from the cans and place in a larger container. Add the cooled almond pudding and rum. Whisk everything until smooth.
  4. Pour the finished Baileys into clean bottles, seal and store in the refrigerator. Shake the bottle before serving and serve the liqueur chilled.
