Easy and melt-in-your-mouth coconut and condensed milk flan cake
Somewhere between a cake and a flan, this coconut dessert is best enjoyed chilled, by the spoonful! Called "Docinho do Céu," it combines condensed milk, coconut milk, and shredded coconut for a melt-in-your-mouth texture with that delightful little bump we all love.
Ingredients · Servings 8
- 3 eggs
- 397 g of sweetened condensed milk (one can)
- 100 ml of coconut milk
- 100 ml of milk (whole or semi-skimmed)
- 80g of dried grated coconut
- Butter for greasing the mold
- Grated coconut for the mold
Method · 3 h 35 min
- Put all the ingredients (eggs, condensed milk, coconut milk, milk and grated coconut) into the blender.
- Mix everything together for a few seconds to obtain a smooth paste.
- Preheat the oven to 190°C. Butter the mold and sprinkle it with grated coconut.
- Pour the batter into the pan and bake for about 30 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick. It doesn't need to come out completely dry (this cake should have a moist texture).
- Allow to cool, then refrigerate for 3 hours before serving.
- Gently run a thin knife around the edges of the mold before unmolding.
- It's ready. Enjoy your meal!
